On the eve of the German Mobility Congress, 18 April 2016, the Future Mobility Camp took place in close proximity to Frankfurt Airport, at the House of Logistics and Mobility (HOLM). Beside Qixxit and HOLM the MDM was official partner of the camp.
The Future Mobility Camp is not a classical conference with set topics, but relies on the openness of a Barcamp. Within a short period of time, the agenda was compiled from the topics raised spontaneously by the approximately 50 participants.
The concept of the event allows room for bringing any aspect of mobility up for discussion. The organiser provided several breakout rooms to allow parallel discussions.
Two experts were immediately found among the participants to facilitate a round of discussions on MDM: Mr Freudenstein (Albrecht Consult) introduced the technical platform and Dr. Pfister (pwp-systems) outlined potential uses and framework conditions. These two key topics were combined in one session and attracted 30 visitors.
During a lively discussion, many aspects regarding MDM were raised:
and many more.
At the Future Mobility Camp, a very young age profile as well as an interdisciplinary composition can be found, which enriched the vibrant discussions. It will be exciting to see which ideas and concepts will be implemented next and which contributions can be offered by MDM.
Founder of the Future Mobility Camp is Martin Randelhoff. He is well known for his Blog www.zukunft-mobilitaet.net that received the Grimme Online Award.
